…what is the heart and essence of eternal life? Jesus tells us in John 17:3: “This is eternal life, that they know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
The essence of eternal life is the never-ending knowing of God the Father and God the Son.
The love of God is the gift of Himself. Isn’t that what the cross is all about? God devised a way where sin could be dealt with and the devil could be defeated so that we could have a relationship with God.
