The 2024 Softball Day Champs!

Men’s Softball Day

Saturday, March 22, 2025 - 10a-1p

We’re playing for fun — advanced skills are NOT required!

  • Slow-pitch softball

  • We'll have 4 teams

  • Each team will have 13 players.

  • Players must be men 18 years of age or older.

  • Men of Grace are welcome to sign up friends, neighbors, and co-workers to play. Guys who are new to Grace Church can play on their friend’s team (within reasonable limits) — just mention your connection on your registration form in the Invited By space.

  • Teams will be selected by team managers and will be evenly distributed according to age and experience/skill level.

  • All games are 70 minutes each - we will have some limits in place to keep it fun.

  • All four teams will play at 10:00 am on two fields, then winners and losers of each first game will play each other at 11:50 am.

COST: $15 per player - covers a t-shirt for each player, field rental, plus caps for players on the champion team. If you cannot afford to pay $15, sign up anyway but tell us you need help in the Comments section and we can work something out.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

  • Pay $15 in cash on game day

  • Pay $15 using Zelle (details given after you sign-up)

  • Pay $15 online with a card using this registration event (this is only for paying, not for signing up)

LOCATION:

EQUIPMENT: If you do not have your own glove or bat, we have some extras; if you have extra gloves or softball bats, bring them to share!

FANS: Families, friends, and any softball fans are welcome to come along and cheer from the shade of trees and canopy-covered areas. Bring your own chairs (there may not be enough bleachers for all fans to sit on)!!

BRING A PICNIC LUNCH: Pack a lunch or snack to eat between games! There is usually NOT enough time to go out and buy lunch between games.

SIGN-UP: Please sign up only if you are sure you are available and will play on the day. By signing up, you are committing to pay $15 per player.

SCHEDULE:

  • 9:00 am - You are welcome to show up

  • 9:30 am - Most teams will start warming up

  • 10:00 am - Must be present at this time to play!

  • 10:10 am - First game begins

  • 11:20 am - Break for snack/lunch

  • 11:50 am - Second game begins

        Championship - winners of this game get Champs hats

        Consolation - losers of first game battle for 3rd place

  • 1:00 pm - Second game ends
