All-Church Cookout 2025

What comes to mind when you hear the word, “church?” Is it the raised hands during a worship session? Is it a pastor speaking to the members sitting quietly in the pews? Is it the footsteps of kids running to Sunday school? Or the communion cups?

But how many of us thought of a cook-out? Of the friends, the food, laughter, and joy that comes from brothers and sisters coming together to enjoy one another’s company. And the blessing and fellowship that comes from sharing life and great food with one another. Isn’t that also part of church?

On March 29th, around 300 of us got to experience that part of “church” during our All Church Cookout. It was a time when members of all ages and walks of life could come together and share a meal together. There was laughter at the volleyball courts and gaga ball pits. There were connections, conversations, and snow cones. And it was a lot of fun!

But fun wasn’t the primary goal. The goal was to build up God’s church. However, our God is a God who created fun! It was great to see how “fun” led to fellowship and community. Isn’t it amazing how “fun” can be used to build up His church? So next time we have a church cookout, join us! It’ll be a fun church experience that you’ll want more of.
