Special Needs Community News

By: Lyndy Rizy, Navigating With Hope Co-Leader

In March we hosted an Easter Egg Hunt specifically for Special Needs individuals and their families in the Life Center gymnasium. We did this in order to make it wheelchair accessible. Traditional easter egg hunts can be hard for special needs individuals to navigate and there are not many options for places to go that will accommodate special needs families in our metroplex. We had such a fun time blessing and encouraging these families that are often overlooked and feel isolated.

"Thank you for doing this for special needs kids and adults!" — Alyson, from Mansfield

Lyndy: "Will you wear bunny ears as a volunteer?"
Melanie Kittrell: "I will do anything for Jesus."

"Do you do this every year?" — Anonymous

23 families came! 28 volunteers served!
